Individual Therapy

How does it work?

Our services commence with a 60-minute initial consultation with the young person and their caregiver/s. The initial consultation involves three parts:

Observation and screening assessment,
Parent discussion, and
Summary report and goal setting

Observation & Screening Assessment

A play-based session with your child/adolescent to screen their current functional skills and provide further understanding of how your child functions across various domains.

Parent discussion

Prior to attending your initial consultation, an email will be sent which includes a client information form. Alongside this documentation we also conduct an informal discussion to better understand your goals and develop rapport so that we can work alongside each other to support your child.

Summary Report & Goal Setting

The summary report includes clinical observations from the initial consultation, recommendations for future services and occupational therapy goals derived from the clinical observations, information provided from parents, care team and the NDIS plan (if available). We will email through the summary report prior to your next appointment.

Ongoing Services

Intervention commences on or after the second appointment, particularly if information gathering and goal setting has been established.
